NP and Unipet partner with NESCAFÉ to Show Appreciation for COVID-19 Front-line Workers

Back to Press releases

NP (National Petroleum) and Unipet service stations have partnered with Nestlé Trinidad and Tobago Limited, through its coffee brand Nescafé to bring smiles to local frontline workers who have been working amidst the threat of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19). These three companies felt it was fitting to show appreciation to the frontline workers who have undeniably demonstrated selflessness and dedication throughout this difficult time.

The offer that began on Monday 11th May, earns frontline workers a complimentary cup of Nescafé when they visit select NP and Unipet service stations with valid photo identification. Nurses, doctors, members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS), and soldiers from the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, form the group of frontline workers who are eligible for this token of appreciation.

Nestlé’s Head of Market of the Anglo Dutch Caribbean, Patricio Torres, believes that it is an honor to say thank you to the workers who have shown commendable passion and resilience. Torres shared that “they are the true heroes” and to him “there is no better time than now to demonstrate our gratitude to those frontline workers who place the well-being of others before their own.” He added that “this collaboration with competitors and a cross-industry company like Nestlé is the type of positive action needed to make it through the crisis’”

Nescafé’s exquisite suite of flavours like, Black Coffee, Chocolate, French Vanilla, Mocha and Latté are all available to the frontline workers from the Nescafé Alegria machines with the mere touch of a button. The Nescafé Alegria machines can be found in select NP and Unipet service stations across the island. The hope is that each delicious cup of coffee gives frontline workers a positive boost as they continue to selflessly serve their community.

The kind gesture by the three entities was available at select NP and Unipet stores nationwide, from May 10th to the 22nd May. Every cup that was given signified a warm thank you from Nestlé, NP and Unipet as they acknowledge the work of  frontline workers.
