Kingston, Jamaica — Nestle Jamaica Limited has been awarded the National Certification Body of Jamaica (NCBJ) Award for Quality and Standards. The award was presented to Nestlé’s Country Manager, Mr. Daniel Caron, along with other members of Nestlé’s Senior Management team at the recently held Jamaica Manufacturers & Exporters Association (JMEA) Awards Gala.
Speaking following the Awards Ceremony, Mr. Caron said “Nestlé’s Quality Management System is the platform that we use globally — and of course here in Jamaica — to guarantee food safety, compliance with quality standards and to create value for consumers.
“We are very pleased and proud of this Award, which signals that we are achieving our goal of building trust by offering products and services that match consumer expectation and preference, while complying with all internal and external food safety, regulatory and quality requirements.”
Nestlé won the Award after submitting information to the NCBJ on machinery and equipment, labour, raw material and other costs, sales and output. NCBJ representatives also visited the company’s Head Office to review Nestlé’s management systems.
