Global Youth Initiative; Nestlé Needs YOUth

Nestlé Needs YOUth is a business-driven movement that was launched in 2013 to prepare young people for the world of work. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), two out of every five young people are unemployed, or in a job that keeps them in poverty. As a global company, Nestlé, believes that they have a responsibility to change the employment landscape for young people around the world.

We want to equip the next generation to become innovative front runners by providing them with resources to find jobs or create their own businesses. We want to bridge the gap between today’s and tomorrow’s skills needs, by ensuring that all youth are future ready. In the Caribbean the program exists in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Guyana to upskill young people in the region to thrive in the world of work and entrepreneurship.

‘Nestlé Needs YOUth’ has four pillars that form the foundation of the initiative that help to focus all activities.

Mission
