Nestlé was recognized for their changes to safety culture to that of an Inter-dependent organization where safety is a shared company value, significant reduction in recordable injury frequency rate, and effective upgrades to operational safety.
Speaking following the awards ceremony, Market SHE Manager Daryle Sankar said “Safety is very visibly lived everyday as Nestlé’s top priority, and this is how it has become a core and perhaps the most recognizable part of our culture. It is how we start each day, how we start every operational review, and it is led by all staff. This award is a reflection of each of our employee’s daily commitment to HSE. They consistently report that the safety behaviours driven here become a part of their everyday lives, and that’s really our ultimate goal – that every day, they are returning safely to their loved ones.”
