Nestlé named Distributor of the Year by Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago

Keri Bailey, Sales Manager Nestlé Trinidad and Tobago accepts the Distributor of the Year award from Rajiv Diptee, President of the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Nestlé has won the prestigious 2019 Distributor of the Year Award —Large Category following a poll of retail members by the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT). Members of the Association were asked to assess distributors based on seven criteria: Delivery of goods; damages policy; merchandising; sales promotion; payment policy, margins, and; relationship with retailer.

Keri Bailey, Sales Manager for Nestlé Trinidad and Tobago accepted the award on Nestlé's behalf, stating “In a tremendously competitive and challenging industry landscape, Nestlé stood above the rest because of our investment in innovations which are fueled by consumer needs, excellence in field sales operations &  ensuring on time supplies."

Congratulating the full Nestlé team, Head of Market Patricio Torres shared, "This is the second consecutive win for Nestlé, working hand in hand with our retailers to develop specific customer plans that meet their business requirements, and this is a reflection of the passion, energy and persevering efforts of our entire team. It would not be possible without the dedication of everyone; from customer service to merchandising to factory to marketing and sales; warmest congratulations to the full team.

Speaking on behalf of the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT), Rijv Diptee, President, outlined the role of SATT as a leading proactive organization with very responsible members whose mission is to empower stakeholders through genuine support and added value. 2019 represents a year of stimulating SATT members to work to highlight contemporary issues and challenges, from local agriculture to product health standards. “This is a signal of the type of work we've been doing and we're widening our footprint. It's about collaborators between supermarkets, distributions and suppliers. We can really make a difference to persons and families; to serve the same people we have the opportunity to create value for.”
