Kingston, Jamaica. July 02, 2018 – Global leading Food and Beverage multinational – Nestlé opened its offices at 1 South Street, Ferry Pen facility today, Monday, July 2nd, 2018. The 6,800 square meter facility comprises state- of-the-art Corporate Office space and Distribution Centre. In an official launch today at the facility, in the presence of distinguished government officials, members of the business community and media personnel, employees of Nestlé Jamaica Limited were joined by a contingent from Switzerland, including Nestlé Executive Vice President and CEO for Zone Americas, Mr. Laurent Freixe, for the official opening of the operating facility.

According to Laurent Freixe, who was visiting the island for a 24-hour period, “I am very proud to be a part of this celebration. The opening of this new facility reinforces Nestlé’s commitment to Jamaica and the Caribbean Region.” He continued, “With the new merger of our markets in the Caribbean to the Anglo-Dutch Caribbean Region, we are able to optimize synergies across all facets of our operations – from marketing to sales to communications. At the same time, maximizing the talents of all of our employees. This signals a very positive future for Nestlé in Jamaica and the Caribbean at large. ” he ended.

The company broke ground at the 94 acre Industrial park in Ferry Pen in June 2016 and relocated from their Knutsford Boulevard offices in July 2017. All this, after Nestlé Jamaica Limited divested its locally manufactured dairy business to Musson International Dairies Limited; a subsidiary of the Musson Group of Companies. The transaction included the sale of Nestlé’s SUPLIGEN® and BETTY® brands, as well as the manufacturing and distribution facilities at the Bybrook factory.

Occupying 6.3 acres of the industrial park - Nestlé is the newest tenant of the industrial park owned by the Cascade Group. According to Daniel Caron, Nestlé Jamaica Country Manager, “We are extremely happy with our new location. We consider ourselves the Google of Jamaica with our open-floor concept and free-flowing workspace. We took everything into consideration to ensure the comfort of our employees because we spend so much time here. This location is our home away from home – Nestlé is our family away from our families.”

Nestlé celebrated its 78th anniversary of operations in Jamaica in June 2018 and remains committed to enhancing the quality of life of individuals and families across Jamaica and contributing to a healthier future.
