Nestlé has won the Distributor of the Year —Large Category Award for 2018, following a poll of retail members by the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT).
Members of the Association were asked to assess distributors based on seven criteria: Delivery of goods; damages policy; merchandising; sales promotion; payment policy, margins, and; relationship with retailer.
In a tremendously competitive industry landscape, Nestlé stood above the rest because of its innovative and consistent approach to merchandising, its creation of special promotions that went beyond a ‘one size fits all’ approach to meet retailers’ needs, and, above all, the company’s commitment to its relationships with retailers.
“Throughout 2018 our team has worked hand in hand with retailers to tailor and develop plans specific to their businesses requirements,” says Head of Market Patricio Torres, “this award demonstrates that our approach has proven valuable to our retail partners and is proof that by working together, we can overcome challenges.
